Amy Mabery
Amy Mabery has served as an international student adviser since 2007. She first caught the international student bug after volunteering at an international student orientation at NC State University. Even though she was already working in environmental science, the experience moved her so much that she went back to school to obtain a master’s degree that would prepare her for the field of international education. Surprisingly, Amy’s first professional experience working with international students was a 1-year internship at UNC Charlotte. Amy is happy to be back in the International Student Scholar Office that played such a foundational role in shaping her as an international student adviser. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends, exploring international grocery stores, and playing with her dog.
