Dillon Clausner

Daniel “Dillon” Clausner Jr. has worked at UNC Charlotte in the ISSO since December 2019. He previously worked at UCLA as an Exchange Visitor (J-1) Counselor and served in the U.S. Peace Corps (Cambodia). He holds a BA from Northwestern University, an MS from Cornell University, and is pursuing a PhD in Public Policy part-time at UNC Charlotte in his non-work hours. He speaks several languages and studied abroad at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

In his role, he assists stakeholders with understanding the complexities of F-1 and J-1 visa regulations to ensure individual and institutional compliance with Federal law. He also works with new and continuing faculty on university-sponsored employment visa types (e.g. H-1B).
