Current Exchange Students
Each semester begins with an orientation program that welcome new students to the UNC Charlotte campus and the Charlotte area
Throughout the semester, events are planned to introduce students to the campus culture and culture of the United States. Opportunities are available for exchange students to meet and mingle with other international and domestic students. There are also opportunities for students to teach their own culture to domestic students by participating in the Culture Ambassador program to serve as guest speakers at one of the classes on campus.
Exchange Student Requests/Forms

- Report J-1 Student On-campus Employment
- Request a Reduced Course Load (J-1 students only) to take less than full-time credits due to English language difficulties
- Read about and request Academic Training (authorization to participate in an internship in your field of study)
- Access the Wilberforce Pamphlet and/or the Exchange Visitor Program brochure to know your rights
2nd Semester, Exchange Student Course Registration Procedure
